Kronik is the force behind Kronikly Late, a Reno-based nightlife brand delivering club sets, karaoke nights, residencies, and late private events across Northern Nevada and Lake Tahoe. A musician before he was a DJ, he built timing in church choir, school band, and ROTC Drum and Bugle Corps, then cut his teeth on Denon DN-2000s and Technics 1200s at Roller Kingdom and early Perfect Events weddings. Radio called in 2001 (WILD 93.7 / Wild 102.9); Kronikly Late launched in 2003; and from 2009–2018 he held down ROCK 104.5 KDOT-FM, including Aftershock Festival coverage and artist interviews. Today he books nightlife under Kronikly Late and formal wedding packages through IDJ Events.
Full bio
Music was never a side path. Kronik sang in church choir from age 5, started school band on brass (trumpet, baritone, tuba), moved to percussion with marching band and ROTC Drum and Bugle Corps, and sang in high school choir — learning harmony, timing, and how to hold a room before he ever touched a DJ controller.
The decks came next: Roller Kingdom skating rink in Sparks, NV on Denon DN-2000 CD players and Technics 1200s, plus his first wedding at 16 with Perfect Events — reading crowds from kids on skates to celebrating families.
Radio followed in 2001 on WILD 93.7FM (later Wild 102.9FM in Reno). In 2003 he founded Kronikly Late. After years on the road in Vegas, Phoenix, and Evansville, he returned to Reno and held the afternoon airwaves at ROCK 104.5 KDOT-FM from 2009 to 2018, including live Aftershock Festival interviews with rock artists.
Today Kronikly Late is the nightlife brand — residencies, guest sets, karaoke (Karma, El Jefe’s, Parlay 6 and more), pool and outdoor sets, and private late-night bookings across Reno, Sparks, Lake Tahoe, and Northern Nevada. Wedding and formal reception packages book through IDJ Events (idj.events).
