Music first. Then the decks. Then the airwaves.
Music was there from the start. Kronik sang in his church choir beginning at age 5. In middle school and high school band he started on brass — trumpet, baritone, and tuba — then moved to percussion, including marching band and ROTC Drum and Bugle Corps. He also sang in the high school choir. Harmony, timing, and how to hold a room were locked in long before he ever touched a DJ controller.
The decks came next. He cut his teeth DJing at Roller Kingdom skating rink in Sparks, NV on Denon DN-2000 CD players and Technics 1200s, and worked his first wedding at just 16 with Perfect Events — reading crowds from kids on skates to celebrating families.
Radio followed in 2001 on WILD 93.7FM (later Wild 102.9FM in Reno). In 2003 he launched the Kronikly Late business. He spent years on the road in Vegas, Phoenix, and Evansville before returning to Reno, where he held down ROCK 104.5 KDOT-FM from 2009 to 2018.
Whether it's a packed nightclub at 2AM or a room full of karaoke regulars, the mission is the same: create the perfect atmosphere and make the moment unforgettable. Today Kronikly Late is the nightlife brand — residencies, guest sets, karaoke, pool parties, and late private events across Reno, Sparks, Lake Tahoe, and Northern Nevada. Wedding and formal reception bookings run through IDJ Events.
